On a 1 girl bartend job what would be better? |
Question: She breaks every rule, disregards customers needs and is self absorbed and a liar..and the job market to hire is extremely scarce..what would be better...fire her or close on those shift nites and put a note that when we find good dependable and caring staff members we will reopen..and hopefully ASAP....or any other suggestions...our numbers are going down every month Answer: Clearly, this employees is a detriment to the business, get rid of her ASAP. Begin recruiting for another employee immediately, using all the means at your disposal - Internet, local bartender schools, word of mouth, newspaper ads, etc. Be sure you have documentation to support your actions, or you could face an "unlawful discharge" lawsuit. As to coverage, why could you cover the shift until another bartender is hired. |
