if a person on a lease is a tenant at will does that mean he doesnt have to pay rent?

Question:
My husband and I signed a lease agreement and on it it says tenant at will I kicked him out and now he says he is not liable for any monies owed on the agreement. Is he did not give the land lord a 30 day notice I am still here struggling with trying to pay the rent and he feels that he is not liable but he is on the lease. Is he liable to pay half of the rent or not

Answer:
Unless he signed a document that legally removes him from the lease, then yes he is still responsible whether he is there or not. If you get behind and they end up taking you to court, since his name is on the contract then he will be responsible as well. A judgment would should up on both of your credit reports if you were to get evicted.
