Okay I'm a 30 years old I still live at home and my credit card was stolen from me.?

my question is here the last time i used my credit card at the begining of the month for only 202.00 and then my card was stolen from me and i looked up on my account for my credit card there was a transaction for 302.00 i called up the credit card company reported stolen there was a transaction for the 302.00 dollars my card is blocked how do i set my parents down and tell them my card was stolen from i do live at home and i'm 30 years old i do pay rent there sending me out a new card and forms to dispute the that big amount that i didn't take out on the credit card. i was sacred to report it to the police i was hopeing that someone would turn it in.

I don't understand your dilemma or question. Is it that the charge to your card before it was blocked was higher than the amount you actually purchased? In that case, I'd ask your bank's investigation to check with the retailer or whoever ran the card on that transaction, especially if you still have a receipt. I lost my card once, and all amounts that I disputed were immediately cleared. not a big deal, really, they'll just ask you for details and send you a new card.

If your question is how do yout ell your parents... ok, 1.) you're 30 years old, and their tenant, so why would you HAVE to? 2.) ppl's cards get lost/stolen all the time, why would they care?

Was is stolen under weird circumstances? I don't think you have to/should tell them anything more than "My credit card was stolen. Bank's sending me a new one." IF, on the other hand, you fel that something really bad happened to you, and it was stolen by someone you know, or by force, etc., then you should contact the police and tell them what happened, if you want to. But you haven't done anything wrong, so what's the big deal about telling them?
