What should I ask a radio station about dont a commercial for a store? |
Question: I have a meeting in the morning with a radio commercial manager what kind of questions should I ask him? I have written a jingle and I am looking to maybe have some kind of advertising campain for the store i manage but i really havent done anything like this before,help me! Answer: Besides asking them if there audience is your type of custumer, ask the following: How many times a day will it play? (Don't expect 1 ad a day to blow your doors down) At what times will it play? (More people are listening during drive time hours) Can it sponsor something like the morning weather portion of the show if you commit to a long term deal? (People associate your product with something of value like weather or traffic) How often can you change the ad and tweak it if necessary? Will there be a charge for this? How much lead time will a change need before it goes on the air? Have you thought of taking that budget, cutting it in half and using that for a live feed from your store? (continuing to spend the other half on radio spots) Just some thoughts |
